Recently an article was written in the LA times that brought up the question, should doctors recommend the use of medical marijuana to their patients? The fact of the matter is, doctors are already recommending medical marijuana to their patients. It is becoming more common to find that doctors are acknowledging the medicinal benefits marijuana has to offer.
Although some doctors still feel that there is not enough information and research to identify the cannabis plant as an acceptable form of alternative medicine the amount of states leaning towards full decriminalization of the plant continues to increase year after year. The general public is speaking out in numbers and is arguing the fact that marijuana does indeed contribute to helping with certain illnesses and therefore should be acknowledged for its medical benefits.
