2012 Recap

2012.sflb_In 2012 marijuana took giant leaps forward. We were victorious in the battle of legalizing the recreational use of cannabis in Colorado and Washington State in November. And more publicized movements took place this past year that became stepping stones to push the legal use of marijuana.

Massachusetts joined the ranks as it finally became legal to sell medical marijuana, becoming the 18th state to do so.  The Guatemalan President, Otto Perez Molina called for the legalization in Central America.

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) a non-profit, international, educational organization comprising former and current police officers, government agents and other law enforcement agents who oppose the current War on Drugs; celebrated the ten year anniversary, as well.

So looking back at the progress made for marijuana and knowing that movement is gaining even more momentum. 2013 is looking very promising.
